I built out the structure of a program that combined ALX’s curriculum with the Amazon Web Services curriculum. This was toward a vision of equipping young Africans with new technical skills at scale. Work included writing a concept note that laid out criteria for success of the program and building a learner journey that ensured a rigorous and rewarding experience for students. This program will be rolled out in mid-late 2023.
Educate! Out-Of-School Youth ‘Train the Trainer’ Program

This program ran in Uganda with a view to scaling to other parts of Africa. On the design side, I wrote new documentation for how the facilitation could run and created streamlined processes for upskilling mentors. On the facilitation side, I ran practice sessions with mentors who were preparing to welcome their learners in early 2023.

I was contracted to conduct research and design a strategy for Standard Bank to redesign how young people were hired and engaged in their South African head office. The new policies from this redesign would then be rolled out across Standard Bank offices in Africa. As part of this project, I ran both primary and secondary research with students from all over Africa (over 1000 responses collected), built frameworks to guide organizational decision making, and presented this work to leadership. Policies are set to roll out in 2023.

A Decentralised Future for ALU
July 2021 -September 2021
The African Leadership University wanted to completely redesign its learning model to serve thousands of students across Africa at distance. I was contracted as part of a team to conceptualize a new learning model with decentralized learning at its core and propose the necessary changes in organizational structure that would bring this model to life. This work was done with the Learning Experience Design team at ALU, who I was responsible for guiding through the process of designing a new learning model that de-centered physical locations. At the end of this process, my team and I presented our findings to organization leadership. The model we built is now in implementation and is set to roll out in early 2023.
Odiso Foundational Strategy
May 2021
Odiso Leadership Academy is a post secondary, non-tertiary program designed to bridge the gap between secondary school and industry, tertiary education, and entrepreneurship. I was contracted to conceptualize organizational strategy as well as a series of hackathons that would pilot desired features for the full program. As this organization was in the startup phase, my role was largely to bring structure to the educational programming they were planning. Hackathons ran in late 2021, with the broader program continuing development by the internal Odiso team.
Educate! VIP Bootcamp Mentor Training Program

ALX Futureproof Course – Idea to Reality
March 2021 – May 2021
ALX wanted to pilot a fully online, semi-symchronous course that would equip learners with the skills to conceptualize, scope and launch new projects. This course was called “Futureproof”, and I built the “Idea to Reality” section, which focused on early-stage entrepreneurs who sought to build on strong ideas with operational skills. My role was to write documentation for the new curriculum, build tools to guide students through the course, and facilitate the course for over 100 learners. An Educational Strategy for the Future of Museums in Ghana
August 2020 – October 2020
Much of Ghana’s cultural heritage is housed in its museums, but many of these institutions have been closed, struggling to attract and engage patrons. I was contracted to conduct research on the revival of the museum sector in Ghana and write a proposal for a revised educational strategy that would more actively and relevantly engage audiences. This proposal was part of a larger strategic document shared with Ghana’s president which covered strategy for parks, monuments, and other elements of Ghana’s cultural heritage. I was appointed to the Presidential Committee on Museums and Monuments and the proposal was shared with the government. Action is expected in the next year.

I was contracted to conceptualize a taxonomy and build a framework for this project to scale. In this role, I reviewed ANO’s existing cultural programming and ran workshops with staff to identify the strongest elements of their work. The outputs from these workshops were then synthesized into an updated taxonomy which I handed over to the team to use to organize their research & codification efforts.
Unison Solutions Learning Model
February 2022
Unison is a fast growing organization that focuses on leadership development in organizations all over the world through targeted interventions with company leaders and broader teams. As they grew they identified a need to have a better codified learning model with which to engage their clients. I was contracted to develop this learning model. In this role, I interviewed Unison staff and distilled their value proposition, before building a skills map template, learner profile and journey map. I then proposed processes for content creation/curation and assessments. At the end of the process, I handed over to the Learning Director to take the ideas forward with his team.
